MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.06 grams), Amphipolis mint, issued posthumously 342/1-329/8 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, Janiform head below in field to right, bee below, above **FILIP POU. (cf.S.6680, SNG ANS 549, cf.Le Rider Pl.40, 436 [similar dies]). In high relief, attractive, very fine/good very fine and rare.
