CHARLES II, (1660-1685), State of Britain, silver medal, 27mms, issued c.1667, obv. CARLO SECVNDO, P.R in exergue, head of Charles II to right, rev. sleeping lion, QVIESCIT BRITAN above and bellow, (Hawkins MI, I, 193 [p.541]). Very fine and scarce.

By Philip Roettier with his initials below on the obverse. Britain is symbolized by a sleeping lion.
