VOLUSIAN, (A.D. 251-253), silver antoninianus, issued 251-253, Rome mint, obv. radiate bust to right of Volusian draped and cuirassed, around IMP CAE C VIB VOLVSIANO AVG, rev. Juno seated facing in round distyle temple, around IVNO MARTIALI, (RIC 172, C.43, S.2824). Some light porosity on the reverse, otherwise dark tone, extremely fine/good very fine and the rarest type for Volusian.

Temple reverses are rarely seen on coins for the second half of the third century A.D. and consequently sought after for their archaeological implications.
