EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy VIII, (146-116 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.41 grams), Citium mint, obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis, with dotted border, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on a thunderbolt, to left around PTOLEMAIOU BASILEWS, to left L**LB above helmet, to right KI, (cf.S.7911, Sv.1584). Toned, nearly very fine/extremely fine and scarce.
