SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Caracalla (A.D. 198-217), silver tetradrachm, (11.99 grams), issued 214-217, obv. laureate head of Caracalla to right, around most of legend AYT K M A ANTWNEINO C CEB, rev. eagle standing facing, head to right, wreath in beak, between legs star above crescent, around DHMARX EX [UPATOX TO D], (cf.S.2649, Bellinger 33 [ANS Mum. Studies No.3, p.26, Pl.III, 12]). Small flan as usual, extremely fine portrait, some mint bloom and scarce.
