ATTICA, Athens, (460-455 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.17 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing ivy crested helmet, eye facing, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, olive twig and cresent behind, to right, **AQE, all in incuse square, (S.2521, Starr Group IV, cf.Starr 125). Large flan or earlier style, nearly extremely fine.
