SICILY, Syracuse, (c.480-475 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.34 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning horses, rev. **SUPAKOSION around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair twisted and bound by beaded diadem, four dolphins around, (cf.S.914, Boehringer 151 [same dies V66/R104], Pozzi sale No.557 [same dies]). Very fine and very scarce.

Boehringer note 6 specimens from these dies, only a few in private collections.
