ITALY, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-240 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.435 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, astragalus behind, monogram before **EW, rev. bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right above, below monogram of NY, below exergue [NE]OPOLITWN, (cf.S.307, Sambon 478, SNG ANS 374 [same dies], SNG Ash. 117-8 [same dies]). Off centred on the reverse, otherwise good fine and a scarce symbol.
