Bid at live.noble.com.au

A 'CONCRETED LUMP' OF GOLD, sand, iron and other debris from the sea bed, with gold coins imbedded. Fourteen Sovereigns visible, these uncleaned and so the dates and most mint marks not visible. One does show an 'S' mint mark and another has the appearance of a Sydney Mint, Australia reverse. Total weight 348 grams. A fascinating and if containing rare dated coins, possibly a very valuable souvenir from the Douro.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
