LEONTIUS, (A.D. 695-698), half follis, Constantinople mint, obv. facing bust of Leontius, cross in field to right, rev. K, to right A = year 1 = 695-6, officina **G* below, ANNO to left, (S.1335, DOC 8b). Very fine and very rare.

The flan is triangular in shape and is presumably a quarter of one of the larger flan folles of Constantine IV (same as the DOC 8b example cited above and similar to that illustrated in Sear 1335).
