CONSTANTINE IV, (668-685), gold solidus, Constantinople mint, Class III, issued 674-681, (4.37 grams), officina **Q*, obv. helmeted three-quarter cuirassed bust to right, with frontal plume, holding spear and shield, around dN C T NVSP, rev. Cross potent on three steps, between Heraclius and Tiberius, around VICTOA AVGU**Q*, (cf.S.1154, DOC (10 type), examples in Munich, Glasgow etc.). Weak in places, otherwise extremely fine.
