HERACLIUS, (A.D. 610-641), half follis, Seleucia Isauriae mint, (4.25 grams), obv. Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine busts facing, rev. K, SEL in exergue ANNO to left, cross above, date to right, year 6 = 616-7, officinae B, (S.846, DOC.182b). Overstruck on an earlier issue, surface corrosion, otherwise good fine and rare.

This mint in Southern Anatolia in Isauria, operated only from 615-617. All coins from this mint are rare, the half follis being much rarer than the follis.
