JUSTIN I, (A.D. 518-527), gold solidus, Constantinople mint, (4.21 grams), Officina S, obv. helmeted and cuirassed bust of Justin I, three quarters to right, holding spear and shield, around D N IVSTI NVS P P AVG, rev. angel standing facing, holding long staff and cross on globe, star in right field, around VICTORI A AVGGGS, CONOB in exergue, (S.56, DOC.2f, not in other major collections). Very fine and a rare officina.
