NORMAN KINGDOM OF SICILY, William I, (A.D. 1154-1166 and A.H. 548-561), gold tari, (1.02 grams), struck at mint of Sicilia and issued A.H. [5]53, obv. symbol in centre, Arabic crude script around, rev. cross, in two lines IC XC/ NI KA, line on each side above, Arabic script around, (Spahr 89 [p.157]). Small flan as usual, very fine and very scarce.
