ITALY, Milan, Louis XII of Orleans as king of France, (1500-1513), silver teston, (9.7 grams), undated, obv. bust to right wearing crown, around LVDOVICVS D G FRANCORVM REX, rev. St. Ambrogio on horse charging to right, arms of France in shield below, around ME DI OIA NI DVX, (CNI 59-60, Negrini & Varesi 227). Double struck on the obverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very rare.

A fine example of Renaissance portraiture and a sought after rarity of the Milanese coinage.
