CONSTANTINE II, (A.D. 337-340), AE folles, issued 324-325 as Caesar, Heraclea mint, (2.7 grams), obv. small laureate bust to left draped and cuirassed of Constantine, around DN FL CL CONSTANTINVS NOB C, rev. camp gate three turrets, five stone layers, around PROVIDEN TIAE CAESS, SMHE in exergue, dot in right field, (RIC 32 [R2], cf.S.3948). Extremely fine and a very rare type.
