MACEDON, kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.95 grams), Amphipolis mint, issued c. 342-328 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, stern of galley in field on right, above **FILIP POU*. (cf.S.6680, Le Rider 350, Pl.37, [same obverse die]). In high relief, round attractive pale grey tone, good very fine and rare.
