SOUTHERN BRITAIN, inscribed issue, Atrebates and Regni, Tincommius (c.30-10 B.C.), gold quarter stater, third coinage of Classical style issued 20-10 B.C., (0.94 grams), obv. COMF in sunken tablet, rev. Celticized horse on right, TIN above horse reversed C below, (S.90, Mack Sylloge 104, Van A. 390-1 notes as rare, Allen/Nash 440). Good fine and rare.

Ex. Believed to be from the Selsey Sussex (1873) find. Hess/Leu Luzern auction sale 31 (1966) (lot 2; H.R. Mossop collection, Glendining's, November 6, 1991 (lot 22). An interesting petigreed coin.
