AITOLIA, Aitolian League Federal Currency, (c.279-168 B.C.), silver quarter stater, (2.45 grams), obv. head of Aitolia to right wearing kausia, rev. Calydonian boar to right, below K, in exergue A and spear head, **AITWLW[N]* below, (cf.S.2320, BMC -, SNG Cop.12, Boutin (Pozzi) 3101). Attractive grey tone, touch of blue, very fine and scarce.
