SICILY, Syracuse, Agathokles, (317-289 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.78 grams), obv. head of Persephone to right wearing wreath of corn, around KORAS, rev. the King's name **AGAYOKLEOS to left of Nike naked to waist standing to right erecting trophy with a hammer in her left hand, in lower left field a triskeles, (S.973, SNG ANS. 672). Attractive, nearly extremely fine, fine style and rare.
