ITALY, Bruttium, Brettian League, (215-205 B.C.), AE sextans, (16.67 grams), obv. helmeted head of bearded Ares to left, ear of corn below, two pellets behind, rev. **BRETTIWN to right, Nike standing left, holding palm and crowning trophy, cornucopiae between, (S.701, SNG ANS 29). An exceptional obverse, good very fine and very scarce.
