SICILY, Syracuse, (c.486-479 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.942 grams), obv. fast walking quadriga driven to right by bearded male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning horses, line border, rev. **SUPAKOSIO N around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair slightly waved and turned up behind under diadem of beads, four dolphins around, (cf.S.914, Boehringer 180 [same dies No.V80/R124], Weber 1560 same dies]). Attractive toned, slightly porous, very fine and very rare.

Boehringer notes only three examples from these dies.
