SICILY, Acragas (Agrigentum), (c.520-472 B.C.), silver didrachm, Jenkins Group III-IV, (8.13 grams), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, AK behind, RA in front, rev. crab within circular incuse field, (cf.S.709, SNG Cop.40 [Pl.1 same obverse die]. cf.SNG ANS 951-2 [similar dies]). Slightly off centred, of good silver with grey patina, very fine and a rare type.
