AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Lugdunum mint, issued 11-9 B.C. (3.69 g), obv. bare head of Augustus to right around AVGV[STVS] DIVI F, rev. IMP XII, across SICIL in exergue, Diana Venatrix standing looking right, holding bow and spear, dog at feet, (cf.S.1612, RIC 337, RSC 168, BMC 189). Slightly off centred on both sides, otherwise very fine and rare.
