MACEDON, Chalkidian League, (420-392 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, 23mm, (14.10 g), Olynthos, obv. laureate head of Apollo to left of the finest classical style, rev. XA**L[KIDE]WN* around, kithara with seven strings; all within very shallow incuse square. (S.1425, Robinson & Clement Group L, [63] [A43/P57] unlisted for die combination, cf.SNG ANS 532). With an attractive head of Apollo of excellent Classical style, toned, nearly extremely fine, minor surface roughness, very scarce.
