BAKTRIA, Kingdom of, Eukratides I, (171-135 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.30 g), obv. diademed and draped bust of Eukratides to right all within dotted border, rev. the Dioscouroi on horseback to right holding spears and palms, monogram of **FL* to right, below in exergue **EUKRATIDOU, above **BASILEWS, (S.7568, SNG ANS 432, Bopearachchi Series 1D). Bright, tooled with surface porosity, otherwise very fine in high relief, a rare variant.
