PONTUS AND BOSPORUS, Kingdom of, Sauromates, (A.D. 172-211) with Commodus, electrum stater, (7.48 g), struck year 485 = A.D. 188-9, obv. diademed and draped bust to right of Sauromates, around BACI**L*EWC CAYPOMATOY, rev. laureate head of Commodus to right, star before, date below E**P*V (485), dotted border, (S.5475, McDonald 496, Stanislavskii 404, Frolova p.171). Good very fine and very rare.
