QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT, five pounds, Brisbane, 2nd January 1902, A/5 306732, imprint of Perkins Bacon & Co Ld, London (MVR.1). A full note, multiple folds and creases, strong fine and very rare, one of the finest of the few known and historically important.

After 1893 the Queensland Government decided to continue to issue its own notes until 1910 and they circulated side by side with the notes from the other banks and were eventually withdrawn when the Commonwealth issued its own notes.
