THE LONDON CHARTERED BANK OF AUSTRALIA, uniface black and white printer's proof on card, one hundred pounds, Melbourne, 18-, imprint of Perkins, Bacon & Co, London, Patent Hardened Steel Plate, SPECIMEN stamped in Manager signature reserve, pencilled 'Engraved September 1st 1853' in lower margin (MVR 1a). Some staining, otherwise good extremely fine and a rare high denomination.
