Ares head to right laureate, APEO**S* before, rev. eagle standing to left, [MAMEPT]IN**WN, DI* in left field, (cf.S.1139, SNG ANS -, SNG Cop. -, Sarstrom "The Coinage of the Mamertines" cf.62 Series IV, Group A **DI* type unlisted). Earthy dark green patina, good very fine - nearly extremely fine and an unpublished variety.
