MAURETANIA, Lix, AE 21, (c.2nd Century B.C.), (5.08 g). obv. facing head of Baal-Melqart, rev. star between grape cluster and grain ear, neo-Punic "MQM SMS", (S.-, SNG Cop. 711 [same dies], Muller 252, Mazard 657). Very fine, glossy dark green patina, fine style and very rare.

Ex Triton V, January 15, 2002 (lot 592) and the David Freedman Collection of Bronze Coins.
