PELOPPONNESOS, Phliasia, Phlious, (c.late 6th - early 5th century B.C.), silver obol or twelfth stater, (1.00 g), obv. human leg with prominent knee-cap bent to right, rev. incuse square divided into six irregular compartments, (S.- , BCD 78 (p.40, LHS Sale 96, May 8, 2006), Imhoof-Blumer Cr. Munzen (1890) 803 [Pl.XIII, 24], Seltman Athens Pl.XIV a [= [Num. Chron. 1890, Pl.XIX, 21]). Fair/very fine, obverse corroded but extremely rare.

Ex Maurice Collection and BCD Collection, acquired in October 2003.
