MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.60 g), Aradus mint, issued c.328-320 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with plain border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **G* to left, A under throne under strut, to right **ALEXANDR[OU]*, (cf.S.6713, Price 3303, BMC 3303a-d, M.-, Demanhur 3269-3285). Uneven tone, with knocks and bumps, otherwise good fine.
