SICILY, Syracuse, reign of Agathokles, (317-285 B.C.), AE 21, (8.50 g), obv. bust of Artemis to right, quiver at shoulder behind, before **[SWTEIRA]*. rev. above and below winged thunderbolt **AGAQOKLE[OS] / [BAS]ILE[OS]*, (S.1200, BMC 422, McClean 2858, SNG ANS 708ff.). Brown patina, reverse surface roughness, very fine/fine and very scarce.
