VALENS I, (A.D. 364-375), gold solidus, Antioch mint, issued 366, 3rd Officina, (4.11 g), obv. pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed bust to right of Valents around DN VALENS PERF AVG, rev. Valens standing facing head to right, holding labarum and Victory on globe, RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE around, ANT**G*. in exergue, (S.19564, RIC 2d, C.-, Depeyrot 27/3). Light graffiti in reverse field, smoothing in field, slight crease, otherwise fine.
