MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 168, (3.45 g), obv. laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around M ANTONINVS ARM PARTH MAX, rev. around FORT RED TR P XX II, IMP V, COS III in exergue, Fortuna seated to left, holding rudder and cornucopiae, (cf.S.4899, BMC 459, RIC 185, RSC 208); Faustina Senior, wife of Antoninus Pius, (died A.D.141), silver denarius, (2.62 g), issued after 147, Rome mint, obv. draped bust to right of Faustina, around DIVA FAV STINA, rev. Ceres standing left holding torch and raising right hand, around AVGV STA, (S.4583, BMC 417, RIC 361, RSC 101a). Fine - very fine. (2)
