NERO, (A.D. 54-68), silver denarius, issued c.65-66, Rome mint, (2.79 g), obv. laureate head to right of Nero, around NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS, rev. Salus seated to left on throne, holding patera, SALVS in exergue, (cf.S.1945, RIC 52, BMC 90, RSC 314); Vitellius, (A.D. 69), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued May-July 69, (3.54 g), obv. A VITELLIVS GERM IMP AV[G T R P], laureate head to right, rev. Libertas standing facing head right, holding pileus and sceptre, around very weak LIBERTAS RESTITVTA, (S.2198, RIC 81, RSC 48, BMC 13); and a small AE of Constans. Very good, first two are scarce. (3)
