THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (305-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.88 g), uncertain mint, issued after 282/1 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena Nikephoros enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, ME monogram to left, **DW* monogram on throne, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMACOU*, (cf.S.6814, Thompson -, Meydancikkale -, SNG Berry -, SNG Cop. -, cf.M.367 var. [outer right monogram]). Lightly toned, very fine and very rare.
