GALBA, (A.D. 68-69), gold aureus, issued July - August 68, Rome mint, (7.13 g), obv. laureate head to right of Galba, around IMP SER GALBA CAESAR AVG P M, rev. SALVS GEN HVMANI around, Salus or Fortuna standing to left holding a patera and rudder, right foot on globe, in front an altar, (cf.S.2092, RIC 231, Cal.505, C. 239). Traces of mint bloom, off centred obverse, very fine and very rare.
