3RD NSWMR, unofficial badge worn during Boer War, cut out of brass, with pin back fitting; NSW Military Forces button (2, one large, one small); patriotic tally with sewn on patch featuring wounded soldier with rifle, above 'Good Luck to The Imperial Bushmen' and below 'The Absent Minded Beggar'; envelope with three NSW penny red stamps affixed, addressed to Trooper C.F. Simpson 563, A Company, 2nd Regt N.S.Wales Mounted Rifles, C/- Colonel Lassetter Field Forces, South Africa, posted 1902, diagonally across top left corner, 'Base Cape Town' and on reverse postmarks for Army Post Office Pretoria and Army P.O.54 S.Africa. Fine - very fine. (6)
