PELOPONNESOS, Arkadian League, Megalopolis, (c.80's-50's B.C.), silver triobol or hemidrachm, (2.54 gm), obv. laureate head of Zeus to left, rev. naked Pan seated left, on rock holding lagobolon, to left eagle on knee of Pan, monogram of AR to left, to right **D*. (cf.S.2689, BCD 1530, SNG Cop.191, BMC 50). Toned, good very fine, some roughness on reverse.

Ex BCD Collection, obtained from P.J. Downie, FPL April-May 1983 (lot 51) for £92.
