IONIA, Ephesus, Augustus, (27 B.C.-14 A.D.), AE 15 (2.35 grams), struck at Ephesus, obv. head of Augustus to right, rev. the stag of Artemis standing to right, across in lines, **GRAM/MATEUS ARISTEAS/ E FE/ NIKOLAOS* (Grammateus Aristeas), (cf.S.57, RPC I 2577, Waddington 1611, SNG von Aulock 7861). Very fine or better with dirt attachment, rare.
