ATTICA, Athens, (460-455 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.15 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing ivy crested helmet, eye facing, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, olive twig and crescent behind, to right, **AQE, all in incuse square, (S.2520, Starr Group IV, cf.Starr 125). Large flan of earlier style owl with collector's tickets, good very fine and very scarce.
