ITALY, Lucania, Thurium (Thourioi), (350 -300 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.598 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with figure of Scylla, rev. bull butting to right, **UOURIWN* and HP monogram above bull, tunny fish below in exergue, dotted exergual line, (cf.S.447; SNG ANS 1042 [same dies], HN 1791c, SNG Cop.1442, McClean 1304 [same dies]). Nearly very fine and scarce.
