CELTIC, Danube and Eastern Region and into the Transylvanian Plain (area of Roman Dacia), imitation of Philip II tetradrachm, (early 3rd century B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.072 grams), of type "Kinnlos", obv. crude simplified head of Zeus to right, rev. horse with rider to right, (S.218, CCCBM Vol.I, type I, D1 No.47-50 [similar dies], cf.de la Tour 9626, Gobl OTA pl.20, Nos 244/1, Pink OK 244-6, cf.Sammlung Lanz 554). Worn as usual, fine/very fine and rare.
