HENRY II, (1154-1189), silver penny, cross and crosslets (Tealby) coinage, bust C2, issued 1161-5, London mint, obverse, hENRI:R:A.. around, rev. +.SVETEMA[N:O]N:[LV..], (Swetmam of London), (S.1339, N.957, BMC 568 [same or similar dies]). Lightly toned, nearly round and weak in places, off centred obverse, otherwise very fine or better and very rare.

Ex Mr. Ashton, Wellington, coin dealer of 1960's.
