JULIA DOMNA, wife of Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-217), silver denarius, issued 196-211, Rome mint, obv. draped bust to right of Julia Domna, around IVLIA AVGVSTA, rev. Fortuna seated to left, holding cornucopiae and resting left hand on rudder and globe, around FORTVNAE REDVCI, (BMC 27 [Severus], RIC 553 [Severus], C.58, S.-). Full flan with attractive grey tone with traces of blue and gold highlights, extremely fine.
