SICILY, Syracuse, Hieron II, (274-216 B.C.), AE 20, (8.61 grams), obv. head of Poseidon to left wearing tainia, rev. ornamental trident-head between two dolphins, dividing **IER WNOS*, in lower left field M, (S.1223, SNG ANS 966-967). Attractive nearly very fine and a scarce variant.
