HANDWRITTEN BILL OF EXCHANGE, the second, issued at Augusta May 28th 1832 by J.G. Bussell for £15.0.0 payable to Mr. J.W. Turner, addressed to Captain Swanston, Bank Director, Van Diemens Land. Endorsed on back Pay Capt. Pedder 63rd Rg or order signed Jas. Turner Recd Wm Pedder. An important historical item linking the settlement in Western Australia with Van Diemens Land. Top left corner off, minor pin - holes and piece out of bottom edge, otherwise very fine and excessively rare as the second of exchange instead of the third (sold in sale 77 lot 2769)
