NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck from a Charles IIII Mexico City mint eight reales, 1808 (Mira/ Noble 1808/9, dies A/6 :I/1). Even grey toned, good fine, the countermarks clear both sides and nearly very fine, the H for Henshall clear, very rare and desirable example of this most historic coin.

Ex H.G. Williams in 1940's, J.L.Griffin, the New Zealand Treasury and Reserve Bank of New Zealand Collection (lot 55).
